At both my day job and my freelance gig I've come across an interesting
revelation lately. There is a code for everything. And I mean
everything. From the obscure to the obvious I see humans have already
thought to apply some kind of organization to it.
A few searches on various RFC standards at Wikipedia will show you the light.
My
most useful discovery has been FIPS state and county codes. Who knew
that counties had a system in place? I guess it's obvious when I think
about it. Leave it to the department of agriculture to provide.
